02 · routing

connect a venue to aegis.

the api key you create at your venue must have trading scope only — never withdrawal scope. whitelist q7's server ip at your venue's api-keys page before activating. credentials are encrypted before they reach storage and decrypted only at trade dispatch.

browser-to-server channel uses TLS 1.3 with cloudflare full-strict origin validation. credentials never traverse the public internet in plaintext.

AES-GCM at rest

API keys + secrets are wrapped with AES-GCM authenticated encryption before they touch persistent storage. ciphertext is opaque to the application layer.

never logged, never returned

no application log line, no metric, no error trace ever contains a key. once submitted, the API does not return them — only ciphertext can be retrieved.

trading scope only

most venue api panels offer trading, read-only, and withdrawal scopes. enable trading and read-only.
never enable withdrawal scope. q7 cannot move funds out of your account — and should not be configured to.
