Step 1 · Pick your markets

Step 2 · Pick a venue
---------------------
Where will you hold capital? Q7 supports multiple exchanges and
brokers. The wizard filters to the venues that cover your selected
strategies. As of today the only LIVE venue is:

Step 3 · Fund the venue
-----------------------
Deposit risk capital you can fully lose. Minimums sit at the venue
floor. Per-trade risk is set by the algorithm — never user-configurable.

For EdgeX V2 (the live venue):
  1. Acquire USDC at Coinbase or Kraken.
  2. Withdraw USDC to a self-custody wallet you control
     (Rabby · MetaMask · Argent — chain-dependent).
  3. Deposit USDC into the EdgeX margin contract via the EdgeX UI.

Confirm your deposit clears at the venue before proceeding to step 4.


Step 4 · Generate an API key
----------------------------
Q7 needs a key with TRADING SCOPE ONLY — never withdrawal scope.

For EdgeX V2:
  EdgeX uses an EIP-712 Login signature to derive a 32-byte L2
  session key (HKDF-SHA256). You sign ONCE in your wallet; Q7 stores
  the derived session key, not the signature itself. Orders sign
  locally with no wallet popup per order and no per-order gas.

  Required scopes:  TRADE
  NEVER enable:     WITHDRAW, TRANSFER

  Q7 server IP (paste into the venue allowlist):  178.156.188.166


Step 5 · Connect — paste credentials at quant7alpha.com/setup/connect

The wizard collects exactly the fields each venue requires. For EdgeX:

  - Wallet address           (your EOA, the one you funded with)
  - Chain ID                 (e.g. 1 for Ethereum mainnet)
  - Verifying contract       (EdgeX margin contract address)
  - EIP-712 Login signature  (from your wallet)

How we handle them:
  · TLS 1.3 in transit (browser → server)
  · AES-256-GCM at rest (encrypted before they touch the database)
  · Never logged in any application log, metric, or error trace
  · Decryption happens only at trade dispatch by a hardened worker


Step 6 · You're live

Q7 begins routing trades from the next bar close on your selected
strategies. From here:
